The Meyer family is rooted in agricultural and viticultural traditions, owning the Shady Grove Farm since 1911.  More than forty years ago, Richard Meyer, planted the first rows of Norton wine grapes which are now the centerpiece of our thriving vineyard.

In 2005 Clarence and Victoria Meyer and family established Shady Grove Vineyard, joining the growing community of grape growers and wine producers in Missouri.  In the fall of 2007, we celebrated a milestone with our first official harvest.  Each fall, family and friends join with our vineyard staff to hand pick the grapes to your specifications and celebrate harvest.

Shady Grove expanded to over 9 acres of grapes with 7 different varietals.  Each year our grape quality becomes even more exceptional as we follow strict vineyard management practices and become more automated.
