"Two of our best selling red wines: 'Decompression' and 'Afterflow' are made from Shady Grove Vineyard's Norton and Chambourcin grapes. Although Missouri has many fine vineyards, we order our wine grapes from this family owned and operated vineyard. They have my highest recommendation."
--Bob Eachus, Manager -- Thousand Oaks Winery
"I received nearly 2 tons of Norton from Clarence Meyer of Shady Grove Vineyard in late September of 2009. The quality of fruit received was very good. The hand-picked grapes were free of rot, and MOG was kept to a minimum. The chemistry of the fruit was typical of ripe Norton grapes and while the wine is still quite young, it is showing promise to be a fine wine.
Clarence and his staff were great to work with. They were accommodating of our needs and worked around our schedule when it came to picking a harvest date. If I am ever in need of additional fruit in the future, Shady Grove Vineyard will be one of my first calls.
Thanks Clarence!"
