Clarence and Victoria Meyer, married for over thirty-five years, own and operate Shady Grove Vineyard along with their children-- Jody, Amy and Jeff and Matt. Strong family ties and a long history with the Shady Grove Farm property drive the family’s desire to create a vineyard reflective of the love and respect for the land and surrounding nature.

Clarence Meyer
Vineyard Manager

Clarence was born and raised on the Shady Grove property and has 50+ years of agriculture experience.  His father (Richard Meyer) placed the first vines on the property more than forty years ago.  Clarence’s professional skill as an engineer and his love of agriculture created the foundation on which the Shady Grove Vineyard was established.

Erwin Dolumbal
Vineyard Supervisor

Erwin has been with Shady Grove for three years as the vineyard supervisor.  He has a bachelor’s degree in marine biology and an abundant love of nature and the Shady Grove Vineyard property.  He lives with his family in Ste. Genevieve and spends great time and care tending to the vineyard.

Cory Kertz
Vineyard Staff

Cory is a strong and athletic addition to the Shady Grove staff.  He is a student and athlete at Valle High School in Ste. Genevieve and spends his time after school and on weekends caring for the grounds and the vines at Shady Grove Vineyard.
